Fact // I've used this song to measure my growth as a singer.
Truth // I'm still scared to attempt to hit that note in the bridge >_<
•• Passions Significance
Note : this is one of those things iJust can't stop talking about but bare with me!
July 28th of this summer changed my outlook on this entire summer and where it was headed. Let me give you a basic idea of the loneliness iTrapped myself with which produced the "horrible" summer iDoomed myself to experience --
From the first week of summer • My boyfriend and iHad just broke up. • My 2 bestfriends started dating. • My 'twin' went to Puerto Rico for the summer. • My 'babyBrother' also left for the summer, gone to Trinidad. •& Everyone else (my boys) would be caught up in football practice, or everyone else was preparing their leave for college.
So the great &fun summer iPlanned? Just throw that out the window. iLitterally spent my summer evenings reading books and sleeping in hopes that it would end soon.

It was brought to my attention that Quincy Jones Presents was comong to NYC . Ofcourse I'm like - iHave to go! iWas to attend this event with my bestfriend Janelle who was finally* in town visiting from Maryland. iAlso wanted to invite Kenyatta specifically because iHadnt seen him all summer and this was one of those things iKnew someone else would love more; if not just as much as me. Much to my disappontment, he wasn't coming &iDiscoved QDJthee idol would not be there. But! iDidnt let that stop me from going with Nelle &iAm really greatful for that.
iWill admit . At first iDidnt get it. He was going in! Seeming to barely play the piano, very dramatically at that. Eyes closed, feeling what exactly? iCouldnt tell. So I'm sitting there like "... Uhm okayy???"
Then something happened. The music began to build and my ears took an interest. iWatched his hands work the piano like I've never seen before. His Bassist joined in. Then his Drummer. My eyes darted back and forth. Trying to capture the magic of it all. And then it hit me. What they were working with - the message iWas recieving .
Passion ••
With the way that word hit me, tears began to form in my eyes.
it was just all so beautiful.
It wasn't even as if they were playing something soft, something mellow. It was a full out &spicy jazz performence that hit you hard. This was a tottally new experience for me. The bassist was scatting, it made me blush. The drummer was just rocking out and it made me cheese (especially during his solos). And Alfredo Rodriguez (iForgot to mention his name, but please look him up!) worked the piano to the point that it made my head spin.
iLooked around to find that iWas not the only one recieving this message of Passion, because other people were crying too.

iDont want to tire your eyes with lots of reading so I'll conclude with this::
Its a beautiful thing to be passionate about anything . But magic comes from sharing that passion. Witnessing it's impact on others who may lack a passion in their lives, or seek to experience a new passion.
My question to you is -Whats your* passion, and how have you allowed it to imapct the lives of others?
